So today I sit at work, with zero motivation....again. So why not blog about it! I think I've hit the point at which you realize it's time for a change. I'm not sure there is much anyone can do to get me re-engaged here. So do I move on to somewhere else? Or just commit 100% of my time to getting Seritus rolling hard core? Give me a week or two, and I guess we'll find out.
Last weekend was great. We had a neighborhood bonfire friday night (after a dip in the K-Fel's fancy new pool!). We found out that Ava's new favorite snack (maybe more than Cheeto's?) is now microwave popcorn! She literally inhaled half a bag. Saturday we shipped Ava off to stay with Darrell for the night and Tenielle and I hit the town for our Anniversary. We had a great time. Dinner was excellent (if you haven't eaten at Rossi's yet, get off your butt and give them some business..my favorite place downtown). After dinner and sitting at Rossi's for a bit enjoying the band, we headed over to Peavey Plaza for a free concert...band was pretty good...'The New Primitives'. We stayed at the Graves 601 hotel above block e. Nice place! Pretty trendy, but the atmosphere is romantic...very dim lit. The rooms were really nice, but they furnishings seemed a little too modular and cheapy. We had a super fancy breakfast at the IHOP in Brooklyn Center and then picked up Ava and spent a couple hours at the Mall of America.
Monday I took the day off...and for the first time ever, golfed more than 18 holes in a single day. Yeah, for some people that isn't that rare of an occurance, but it was a first for me. We golfed 9 at Stonebrooke in the morning, then headed over to Prestwick for the Lyon's Pub annual scramble. Although my performance at the Scramble was sub-par by far, it was still a great time and we had good weather. Brad was a little off his game, but still played well enough. Matt had some killer drives, and Darren was an all-around superstar. Plenty of holes where we used every one of his shots. I need to play more and get my swing memorized a little better. I still pretty much suck.
Other than that, we are hitting the Aquatennial Torchlight Parade tonight. Ava's first big parade! We'll see how she does, considering it starts at 8:30, which is basically her bedtime. Boston is less than 2 weeks away, so I'm looking forward to that. Sounds like we got hooked up with some tickets for the BoSox game on that Thursday. Although I've been to Fenway before, this will be the first game for me there. Should be pretty cool. THey play Baltimore.
That's all for now. Have a good week, and stuff.

Oh yeah..and Dave's 25th birthday was yesterday...Happy Birthday Dave! Those grey hairs will start showing up any day now.
What, no mention of me?
That sucks.
I am not going to respond anything but this:
Remember how you "beat" Darrel and I in hangyballs? Well when you left Cristin and I beat Darrell and Joyce 15-0, 15-0, 15-3. So that pretty much shows that if we would've switched partners, Cristin and I would've dominated you and D over and over again. So bite it Steve.
All that proves is that Cristin is the determining factor, not you. So good point, your wife is the best hangy ball player of the group. Either way, my team beat yours...at your own game. Just because you can ride Cristin's coattail doesn't make you any better.
So to make Justin happy, after the MOA, we picked up Joyce from the airport and went back to the Kortan's for some steaks on the Grill...Darrell cooks up some mean meat! And tasty cocktails. We had a great time talking with Darrell, Joyce and Cristin. Justin was there as well.
Justin would be the guy who says I beat you in softball, even though there were 9 other guys out there too. Its all about him. Lets face it! Give your wife some props. Maybe you lost because you could not see right because your collar was popped. Who knows...
And Happy Birthday Dave
So here is the deal, my wife and I are a great team. Cristin is decent at Hangyballs and I will give her props for that, but everyone knows that I am the main ingredient in the hangyball championship squad. I am the Michael Jordan of hangyballs. Mike, as I like to call him, had great parts around him (pippen, rodman, grant- those are retired basketball players Steve), but we all know who carried the team. It wasn't "I want to be like Pippen." or "I want to be like the Chicago Bulls," it was "I want to be like Mike."
Steve, I am sorry you hate your job. DO you want to talk about it? I am a great shoulder to cry on. I feel so bad for you. Welcome to my world. Now you are like 95% of the rest of the world that hate their jobs but go anyway. So suck it up.
Dave- happy day of birth. I hope you dont end up like Steve, sucking at sports and hating your job.
*next blog*
Steve, I think you should debate why they should shut down the wnba and all women's sports. Cristin hates when I talk this way, so I thought you should do it instead.
Yah thanks, and by the way, I do already have some grey hair growing in, by the nipples!. Pretty sure its from hating my job as well. I get to sit here all day with nothing to do and listening to the manager fart all day. I think he said he had some Ihop for breakfast.
Hey, don't get me wrong, there are things I like about my job. I just need new motivation.
I agree that Cristin is a solid player, and that you ride her coat-tails. And the notion of me talking about anythign sports, besides maybe the Twins, is funny by itself. Maybe you don't remember past comments I've made about not giving a rip. WNBA, NFL, NBA. Who cares. I'll watch football and baseball, when I have time. But as far as basketball, eh. And as far as talking about it all day long, not my thing. However, if I had to pick a sport to get rid of (besides the given of soccer), it would be any professional chick sport besides nipple twisting. WNBA being on the top of that list.
Whoa, Whoa, Whoa fellas...Before we swear off all women sports, lets remember Roller Derby, and professional wrestling hotties. WBNA can go...I am sure all 12 fans they have would be crushed, but F em. Soccer...forget it - lame.
I am sure right now Michael Jordan is thinking..."hmmm, I want to be just like Justin".
Ok...first of all...professional wrestling isn't a sport. It's bad acting. And even if it was a sport...you show me the womens professional wrestling league. And roller derby? I'm not going to even go there. You have way to much time on your hands if you are watching roller derby.
If there is one women's sport to keep around it should be tennis. There are a lot of up-and-comers. Not necessarily skilled, but very gentle on the eyes (no em sayin?). Sharapova, Hantuchova, Ana Ivanovic (#1 in my book), Maria Krilenko, Tatiano Golovin, to name the ones off the top of my head (yeah right... like I didn't go hear to find them.
hey anonymous...you know what's priceless? BAAAA-LEETED. I'm rick james, biatch.
